Against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers this weekend, the Springfield Falcons defenseman chatted across the red line with former teammate Colton Gillies , battled in front of the net with ex-teammate Carson McMillan , talked after the game with buddy Matt Lashoff . But the best thing this year for the Stratford, Conn., native and onetime Fairfield Prep player has been playing this close to home for the first time and the chance to be around friends and family.
