December 29, 2014 - The Hartford Courant reports that Hearst newspapers plans to lay off 72 employees in Bridgeport, CT, this coming February. The jobs eliminated will be in the production department, mostly related to inserting advertisements, and will include 16 full-time and 56 part-time positions.
