A pedestrian was struck and killed by a New Haven-bound Metro-North train Saturday, just past the Fairfield Metro station, prompting delays of up to 40 minutes in both directions on the beleaguered New Haven Line, officials said. MTA, Fairfield and Bridgeport police responded to the scene.
