Diocese to downsize, remain in Bridgeport

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport hopes to move from the sprawling Catholic Center on Jewett Avenue into smaller administrative space elsewhere in Bridgeport. Bishop Frank J. Caggiano wrote in an op-ed piece published by Hearst Connecticut Media that he has created a task force to explore whether the current building should be sold or retained for a different purpose.
